About Us
Le Petit Four isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a Sunset Plaza icon. Under its signature yellow awning and electric-blue lettering, this lively Cali-French bistro has been a local favorite for over 25 years, blending bold California flavors with timeless French techniques. Signature dishes like Burgundy snails, frog legs, seared octopus salad, and steak au poivre filet mignon highlight the menu, alongside fresh branzino and black mussels.
Nestled on the famous Sunset Boulevard strip, Le Petit Four offers stunning views overlooking West Los Angeles—and the rare luxury of free parking. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s the perfect place to enjoy great food, good company, and unforgettable moments.
Our Story
Le Petit Four started in 1981 as a cozy pastry shop filled with gourmet treats from Paris’s Fauchon, quickly becoming a local favorite. By the late ‘90s, lifelong friends Alexandre Morgenthaler and Robert Bigonnet turned it into the vibrant restaurant it is today. In 2013, Alexandre took the lead solo, bringing his energy and heart to every corner of the space.
For over 30 years, Le Petit Four has been a Sunset Boulevard staple, welcoming everyone from celebrities to neighbors—serving great food with a side of unforgettable memories.
Mission
At Le Petit Four, we’re all about creating unforgettable dining experiences where French tradition meets the electric energy of Los Angeles. What started as a cozy pastry shop has grown into a Sunset Plaza icon—where locals, travelers, and celebrities gather to savor great food and celebrate life.
Beneath our signature sunflower-yellow awning, every visit feels like a blend of timeless charm and West Hollywood flair. More than just a restaurant, Le Petit Four is a place to unwind, indulge, and soak in the magic of Sunset Boulevard—one plate at a time.
